About Moriah

I’ve been letterpress printing & designing fun things since 2019 (officially), but my creative streak has always been there. I loved photoshopping and designing layouts for yearbook in school, creating festive invitations for just about anything, and dabbled in probably every weekend craft you can name. Most of those hobbies fizzled out, but the skills I developed stuck with me (and very much came in handy in this chapter)!

Then in 2017, I first discovered the art of letterpress, which was having a huge resurgence in the wedding stationery world. The tactile nature and the depth of a good, juicy impression called to me! I took a class at my local center for book arts, and realized this is what I was meant to be doing. I fell absolutely, head-over-heels in love with letterpress right then and there.

My naturally stubborn nature means I don’t give up on a good challenge, and learning to print was not a small feat! Along the way I’ve met so many incredible printers, designers, stationers and other creatives who continue to inspire me daily. I’ve had the pleasure of designing my own products and beautiful stationery for dozens of clients, and I’m proud to be a print partner for many other designers, too.

With the help of my co-host, we’ve also created Hot Off The Press podcast, which provides resources, interviews & information for printers and designers of all levels. On the pod we share our love of printing, our daily struggles, and a ton of helpful information we’ve learned along the way.

To summarize it all: the goal here at Moriah Creates is to cultivate community, share my own creative pursuits, and provide beautiful letterpress printed goods for all. And most of all: we’re here to have fun, and keep creating!

Thanks for being here with me. I hope you find exactly what you’re looking for here in this artistic little corner of the internet.
